The UN 2023 Water Conference was held at UN Headquarters in New York, 22-24 March 2023, co-hosted by the Government of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

It was only the second UN Conference dedicated to water, following the Conference in Mar del Plata, Argentina in 1977, and provided a unique opportunity to undertake commitments and accelerate action towards achieving SDG 6 and other internationally agreed water-related goals and targets, including those set out in the 2030 Development Agenda.
